With the recent approval by vote on the April 7 ballot, the use of Golf Carts and UTV’s are now permissible on streets throughout the City of Warsaw, but only following a complete inspection and registration process for each vehicle.  Below, please find the procedures that must be followed to register your Golf Cart-UTV and get on the road! 

1.      Each vehicle must be properly inspected by a City of Warsaw official.  This process will generally be completed by a member of the Warsaw Police Department at their offices located in the basement of the Warsaw Community Building. However, other arrangements may be made by the city when needed to accommodate schedules.

2.      Inspections will be done each work day of the week, 8:00 AM-3:00 PM, but an appointment must be made prior by calling (660) 438-5522.

3.      It is the responsibility of the vehicle owner to be aware of the recently adopted ordinance and to ensure that their vehicle meets all inspection requirements.

4.      Once the inspection is complete, owner must take completed and signed inspection form to offices of the City of Warsaw at 201 E. Main St. to register vehicle.

5.      At registration, proof of financial responsibility must be presented with no less than the minimal insurance amounts set forth by Missouri Revised Statutes.  This proof should be retained in the permitted vehicle at all times.

6.      The applicable permit fee for the City of Warsaw is $15.00 and is valid from January 1 thru December 31 of each year, and must be renewed annually.  Fees will not be prorated.

7.      Upon completion of the registration process, owner will be assigned with an individually numbered City of Warsaw permit decal.  This permit decal must be affixed to the left rear of the Golf Cart-UTV in a manner to be visible by law enforcement from the rear of the vehicle.  

8.      It is the responsibility of the vehicle owner to be aware of the recently adopted ordinance and to ensure that they are knowledgeable of all rules and regulations pertaining to the use of any Golf Cart-UTV.
