Community Building
The Warsaw Community Building has been a central part of the downtown Warsaw community since 1936 when it was built using 38 men employed with the WPA (Work Progress Administration) labor using native stone donated from the Lay Quarry, just west of town.
Over the years, the Warsaw Community Building has been host to many events, including: Jubilee Days concerts featuring the likes of Vern Gosdin, Moe Bandy and Barbara Mandrell; the Missouri Invitational Celebrity Turkey Hunt, fishing tournaments, many pageants, banquets, family reunions and birthdays. The building also housed the city's municipal offices for decades until their move to their current location on Main Street in 2020.
